Traditionally, Thanksgiving it is a time to give thanks for the harvest and express gratitude in general (wikipedia). I celebrate this day with my family and friends, every year we all say what we are grateful and eat everything what is possible like world will end that day.

The reason I’m writing this post, it’s not actually about the thanksgiving day, but about gratitude in general. I think, if you are more grateful more often will help you be more happy and you will not be as negative when something bad happens.

I was reading post about gratitude and some of them even tell people to be grateful everyday, I don’t think we need to be that extreme, but If you do one thing once a month, that’s only 12 times a year, that’s easy to do and will help you a lot.

What I’m grateful?

I’m grateful, for having my family together. I lived alone in Europe for many years, now I realize how great is to be together.

Happy Thanksgiving everybody! Enjoy your turkey.

Very well said! And it is important to be greatful/thankful there are plenty of things to be greatful/thanksful for that we don't take into consideration a lot of the times. I was near death and realized that i had been over working myself so much that when i was home and getting better i did some gardening and just enjoyed the sun and the flowers and gardening more.. than when i would have normally just thought it was another day. I am greatful that we have eachother to share those things with!
